Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

My attorney says that PDA check is an advancement of the injury settlement that will be offered down the road. It will be deducted from my settlent money for my injuries. Is this correct>

100% correct. All monies paid as 'disability' after the doctor writes you are P&S get subtracted from any outcome of the case...even a decision at trial.

the good news: it's like an interest-free loan!

the bad news: if you're applying for Unemployment INsurance because you didn't go back to your pre-injury work, it gets deducted from your Unemployment.
