Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
Can I be billed if my case is determined not work related??
I am being treated through worker's comp for numbness in my arm. When the MRI was denied, my doctor suggested seeing my private doctor. My private doctor believes the numbness is caused by cervical arthritis- I am only 33 yrs old. The cause of my condition may be questioned. If worker's comp believes my condition is not work related, can they bill me for my past treatments? Should I continue to see my private doctor or go through worker's comp?

Workers' Comp is very complex and without representation, youre pretty much screwed. I can say for sure that if you do not retain counsel, you're essentially finished with your comp claim and you probably will be stuck with the medical bills. I will be glad to discuss this with you further over the phone. Should you decide to hire an attorney, you would not have to pay any money out of your pocket. Please give me a call. 818.943.0462.
