in CA workers comp if treating doctor releases you to modified duty with a restriction that your job provides transportation to and from work. you notify your employer and they said they will call you back. after several days no return call. What happens to your job or TDD?

Until you are able to return to work your TTD continues. Since your return to work requires the restriction of no driving and transportation has not been made available, you should still be getting TTD. Call the employer again and if they do not fully respond withn a few days call the claims adjuster handling your file and they will contact the employer
You need to be put on TTD benefits. If the insurance company play games and deny benefits, then you need to retain an attorney to file WCAB application and claim for benefits for your temporary and permanent disability benefits.
