Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

company relocation.

I worked in my company for 27 years. In three months, my company will move to another location that is four hours away. I cannot move with the company. Now, my company gave me an agreement to sign. My company will pay me only eight weeks worth of salary. But, i want to know, by law, can i get more for working 27 years? Please answer my question as soon as possible. Thank you.

Re: company relocation.

Do you have a written contract with your company or any type of retirement agreement. That would control your situation. You might want to retire to get those benefits if it is not too late. Check to see if your city has any laws regarding relocations of companies.
