Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
Can a County District Attorney come to my small business and check on the worker's compensation? And threaten to arrest me if I don't cooperate? I only have 1 person working, and she is self employed.

None of that makes any sense. DA's are not police officers, they have no greater ability to arrest someone then you, they do lot go and investigate potential crimes, especially such types of employment proceedure crimes. Your employee may not be an independent contractor. Look at prior answers as to what the general test is. Call up the Head DA and find out what is happening. Also, cities have DAs but Counties do not [have civil attorneys who are County Counsel].
