Docking Pay

Can a salaried employee have is pay docked for coming in late?

Why not? You are paid on the basis of how many hours you worked and if you came in late you did not work the full number of hours you were scheduled to work. Say you were hired 5/1/07 by a company, they told you your salary would be $10,000 a month, but you stopped working there 5/20. Would they have to pay you for the entire month or just 2/3rd? If they reduce your pay by more than your hourly rate times the number of hours missed, then yo might have a claim.
