Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Doctor choice?

I'm seeing a doctor in CA for dual shoulder separation (work injury, explosion, long story). I want to switch to a well recommended shoulder specialist (who accepts workman's comp.), but as far as I know, my WC insurance (AIG) does not ''support'' him, doesn't have him on the list of doctors they pay, not sure what you call that. What's there to do? Are they allowed to do this? What are the laws regarding this, regarding multiple doctor opinions? It's been quite a bit longer than 30 days since the accident.

You may have to choose from the MPN providers (medical provider Network). However, there are ways to get around it or you may be able to change your doctor within their network. Call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
