Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I have several documented back injuries over the last 10 years and just suffered another one. My supervisor stated to me that he believed I was faking an injury to get out of a project. Here I am awaiting my follow after being diagnosed in the Emergency room with a lumbar strain and off work for 5 days. i am certain this time its something significantly more than a strain due to numbness and decreased function to the extremity. Other than just being unprofessional, what are the ramifications for accusing me of basically falsifying a comp claim? I work for a large public agency.
