Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
Due to back surgery I had to move out of town if I am released to go back to work part time or full time is my employer required to provide my job if one is available in my new location. I just found out that while having surgery my real estate license expired. No one contacted me and it states on the dre that I have no broker of record, I should be still employed while on workers comp right?

Your former employer does not have to provide a light duty job position; if you can return to your normal work, you would have to be take back, but I am not sure that he would hae to take you back at a different geographical location. Why don't you contact the company and find out what they are willing to do?
As to the real estate license, that is something you were supposed to renew yourself, unless there was an agreement with your company that they would do it. Your employer did not
cancel the license, someone else did so that would not be a contrary to your WC rights.
