Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Can I as a employe sign something that I will be liabile for my our injury if I don't wear certain protection gear? Thank You

No. California law clearly states that an employee can not waive their rights to Workers' Compensation benefits. If you suffered an injury greater than 70% permanent disability there might be a chance of your benefits being reduced because of serious and willful misconduct. Your employer might be able to fire you for refusing to follow safety rules, but WC benefits can not be given up and it is illegal for an employer to try to have an employee do so.
