YIKES, you've posted you have a WORKERS COMPENSATION matter, but this does not sound like any matter before the Workers Compensation Appeals Board. How can the civil case be 'about to be closed'?? It sounds like proceedings WERE stopped if the case is to be closed now. The best I can advise is to insist on a face-to-face meeting with the attorney and insist the attorney use language you understand, OR secure a new attorney who can make clear what has transpired.
