Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I filed a claim in 2001; I am currently still injured and receiving medical treatment and surgeries for the injuries. I had a bad attorney and now I'm out of the state. Can I still get a good attorney and pursue this since I've incurred more medical bills and treatment related to the filed claim?

There is no reason why you can not get a good attorney, but there is the problem of that the attorney fees that ultimately will be awarded will have to be divided amount your past and future attorneys so a new attorney would look upon it as being a lesser value case. You will want an attorney who practices in California and who is willing to travel to the location of the local Board where yo case was filed. However, it makes no sense that your case has still has not been resolved in 11 years, as even with additional surgeries you disability has probably been permanent and stationary for some time. You can look at a list of attorneys in the California Applicants Attorneys site or some similar listing.
