Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I filed workers comp papers with my employer on Monday when my doctor put me on 2 week leave due to high bp and chest pressure. It is Thursday and I have not heard or received anything other than notice that I would no longer have access to my work email or voicemail. Shouldn't I have gotten paperwork back by now?

Yes. Your employer should have responded to you within 24 hours. If they had not, then you seek legal advise form an attorney of your choice to follow the claim.
