Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
filing a claim
My husband has been off work for two months and has been receiving disability payments. His primary doctor took him off work because of elevated blood pressure that was a stroke level due to stress from his job. The doctor wrote stress and hypertension due to work. My question is can he still file a workers comp claim.

Re: filing a claim
Yes he can still file a claim. However, based upon the complexities of the workers' compensation system, it is best to consult with a lawyer. For a free consultation, please feel free to contact me at 1-877-505-INJURY, or email me at [email protected].
Re: filing a claim
Your husband can file a valid worker's compensation claim for work-related hypertension, related insomnia, anxiety and tension. However there are other factors such as history of hypertension and mental state of the claimant and events that happened at work play important roles.
