Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Do I need to find a different WC attorney.

The only thing my attorney has done for me is set up my depo, which was in May 08. I have been off work for 8 months now, and if I don't have my surgery now, I will be permenatly disabled. I have not been sent for a QME, so now will I loose my case because it is medically necessary to have surgery asap? Do I need to find another attorney?

Re: Do I need to find a different WC attorney.

You have not provided much information in your question to where I am able to give you a concise answer. What you need to do is make an appointment with your attorney to review your case. Depending on the lawyer, you may have to be persistent in order to get the appointment, but at the end of the day, he must give you the time of day.

After that, you may or may not be satisfied with his answer(s), but if not, then you can either sent another question to LawGuru or call my office at 818.385.0520 in order to fill in the holes.

Otherwise, good luck.
