Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
I keep hearing that the system isn't designed to make an injured person whole, that's fine. But that is basically saying that an injured person is left to the wolves because there is no minimum standard to meet for lost wages and expenses. Is this correct?

I do not follow what you mean by the minimum standards. What is meant by not making the person whole is that only a portion of lost wages is covered. Part of the reason for that is that it is a no-fault system. Most injuries are not the employer, employee, or fellow employee's fault. The system is a trade off of making an employer liable for less than the full damages in return for an employee not being able to sue for their damages.
