hernia compensation

I got a umbilical hernia at work and i am having surgery, will i get a settlement with a lawyer? if so aprox. how much?

You do not get compensated because you have a work-related injury. You get compensated because you have some level of permanent disability as a result of your work-related injury. If your hernia does not produce any level of P.D., then you are only entitled to 66% of your regular rate of pay during your time off work.
