Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
If I have a history of depression, but had a violent vernal encounter with a coworker who sent me to be treated for further mental stability issues, should I pursue workers compensation?

Yes, you could. But there are special rules regarding psychiatric claims that may be difficult to overcome. For instance, you must prove that, out of all the stressors in your life, that work caused at least 51% of your injury/disability. I strongly encourage that you seek representation. You can locate a workers' compensation attorney in your area by going to www.caaa.org. Good luck!
You need to file a claim for worker's compensation benefits that cover temporary disability benefits , ongoing medical treatment and a settlement for permanent disability and future medical care. Feel free to call me at 213-388-7070 for a free consultation.
