Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

HR disclosed private payroll info to VP...

The VP then harassed me for having to put the HR person thru so much paperwork and even threaten to fire me. My question is due the hostile environment I have question symptons that mirror on depression, anxiety and sleepless nights would I qualify to take stress leave and obtain workers compensation during that leave?

Stress claims are always fought by the employer and carrier, especially when the systoms are not very far away from how the average person might react. Symtoms that mirror on depression is not a very strong Dx of psychiatric injury. And if that VP harassed you on something you may have been entirely right on, how is he going to react to your telling everyone that he harassed you. it makes more sense to take sick leave time then get involved in a difficult, time consuming process in which you will never get any satisfaction.
