getting hurt on the job

i work a t a hotel resturant and i hurt my sholder i reported it and discoverd i got a pinched nerve its now been 3wks and 4 doctors visits to find out my hours have been droped down from 5 days to 2all because of the new food and beverage directer when i asked him y my hours have been droped he replied because ur on the injured list and u cant help clean . im a hostess/cashier my question ? can they do that to me because i was injured at the job because at the time of injury we were under staffed is this legal for them to punish me for getting hurt ???

If your employer is not giving enough work due to your injury and you are still treating for your injuries, the best solution would be to ask your doctor to take you off work. If your doctor is from the insurance company most likely he or she would be unwilling to do that. Then you need to change your doctor to someone outside of MPN.
