Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I got hurt at work over a year ago. I was on a modified duty until i was taken off work by my employer. They continued my regular benefits for a few months (the benefits I usually paid for out of my checks) Now I have returned again to work in a modified duty and I am expected to pay back premiums for the benefits they did not cancel. Is this legal?

An employer is not allowed to discriminate against an employee because of an industrial accident/injury. You are entitled to be treated as though you were at work the entire time. For those benefits that the employer normally would pay for, the employer must still pay, but if an employee usually pays all or partly for a benefit they must still do so.
