If injured in california, do you have to provide the workers comp insurance company with your full medical history? is it required or can I refuse?

When represented, I advise my clients not to provide their medical history to the carriers. (CAUTION: ASSUMING THAT YOU ARE NOT REPRESENTED, IF YOU REFUSE TO PROVIDE THE CARRIER WITH YOUR MEDICAL HISTORY, THEY MAY DISCONTINUE YOUR BENEFITS). However, I advise my clients to tell the doctors their complete medical history when asked. One of the issues that I frequently encounter is that my clients are not completely honest with their medical history, and at the end of the day, the dishonesty hurts them.
