Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

injured on the job

I recently fell at work on our lot and after the 3rd day realized that my injury was worst than a bruised rib.

I took my self to the ER and after a tetnis shot and some xrays drawn, I was told that I have torn rib cartilidge and then being told if I do not have cash, check or charge to take care of the matter, then the second I left the building the chars=ges would automatecalliy double!

My question is would I or my employer be resonsible for the additional fees?

Re: injured on the job

Yes. You need to immediately report your accident, file a claim and ask them to send you to doctor. You also need to give them any ER bills and insist that they pay for it. If you are unable to work, you are entitled to disability benefits. You need to retain an experienced worker's compensation attorney to send you to an appropriate doctor other than employers network (MPN). please call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
