Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I was injured tonight at work. I hold a serving position at a restaurant and I was struck by a tray in the alleyway. I was struck in my left eye, it is swollen and was cut right up to where my eye starts. I instantly had a headache and my vision is still blurry. I was asked to stay on and work and fished my shift with help of other coworkers. It was made a joke of and the manager said I should make up a good story to tell people about my black eye. I proceeded to finish my shift but the manager let me clock off and said nothing about a report. As I was walking to my car I called my mom and asked her what I should do. She informed me that I should fill out an injury report. My manager completely avoided it. Also I was not treated with any first aid equipment. I sat in his office for 20 minutes while he "looked" for the paper work. Then suggested I write it on a blank piece of paper. Finally he said we could just do the paperwork online after about 45 min. I felt like this was to discourage me and gave me no real information. I also had to basically beg for a copy of the injury report. Any advice?

Seek all required medical attention. Call a workers compensation lawyer in your locality immediately. The lawyer you consult can probably recommend a doctor.
