Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Injured at work

Hi, I hurt my back at work yesterday and HR asked me to go be seen by their workerscomp doctor at no chargh to me, however, I was told by HR that I had to use my sick time to go to the appointment as the company wouldnt cover my time it took to go. How does that make any sence? Is that true?

If your doctor appointments continues and you are forced to take a lot of time from work, then you can request your doctor to put you on partial disability benefits and you may have restriction and change of working hours (to part-time basis for example).
