Can a workers' compensation claim be filed if an injury occurred outside of work?

Your employer or their insurance carrier may not be liable for the payment of workers' compensation benefits for an injury which arises out of an employee's voluntary participation in any off-duty recreational, social, or athletic activity which is not a part of the employee's work-related duties.
