Old injury, foot crushed at work

About feb 1977, left foot severly crushed,30ty years bad pain trying to continue working, forth operation 10/07 now aquired sever infection resistant to antibodics and treatment ,wont go away,cant work,920 dollars amonth ssi use to making around 6 thousand.Girlfriend and kids gone,debt, very depresed,cronic pain,have gun no bull;ets.Please help

You need to speak to a suicide prevention counselor, as there is nothing we can do in an e-mail. Did you ever receive a permanent disability award for what I assume is an on the job injury? There are various statutes of limitation, but if you never got an award you can normally file for those benefits within one year of last receiving any WC benefits, such as their paying your medical bills. I do not know if you can get vocational rehabilitation but that should allow you to collect rehab. temporary disability disability while your are in the program. Check with EDD if they provide any benefits when you have run out of WC payments [probably not]. If you were in the military, worth a chance to contact them although they probably will not paid you anything. Check with disabled programs to see if they have any suggestions. There are all sorts of possibilities.
