Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

My job refused to send me to the dr.

Does the job take on some liability for not sending me to the dr. After i reported the injury.Rather they gave me medical advise. And sent me over a week later. And then sent me home saying they didnt have work to coincide with my light duty.

Re: My job refused to send me to the dr.

No. It appears that you have received medical treatment, althought somewhat late. If the employter refused to provide you with the information necessary to get treatment, then you are entitled to select your own doctor and obtain treatment. However, from you statement it appears you chose not to take advantage of this option. You should immediately contact the employer's insurance carrier and request TTD, and/or file a claim for state disability so that you have some money coming in to support yourself while you are disabled.
