vocational rehabilitation

The date of injury decides whether you are entitled to vocational rehabilitation. Generally, after 1/1/04, all you receive are vouchers. Technically you can begin Vocational Rehabilitation at any time, but it is very unusual to start vocational rehabilitation until you are found permanent and stationary by the treating physician. In your case, given the date of injury, I doubt there are any real vocational rehabilitation benefits anyway. Perhaps that is what your attorney means. However, I am sure the insurance carrier will assist with VR if you discuss the matter with them. It is in their benefit for you to return to gainful employment.
