Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Can a landlord place a lien on workers comp case for past due rent? Or can landlord execute an agreement with tenant to pay past due rent from settlement once it's received?

Yes... whether this would be successful and any sums awarded is questionable.

But a person who deferred collection of rent can be said to have provided Living Expenses, and Liens for providing Living Expenses to an INjured Worker can be valid Liens against compensation.

Can the landlord execute and agreement with the tenant??? of course... two competent adults can consent to any legal action. BUT THE LANDLORD ISN'T PROTECTED AND CAN'T ENFORCE THE CONTRACT before the WCAB without his lien in place first.
