Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

When is it too late to change attorneys

I had my initial consultation on 04/10/2007 with my attorney. From that time on I have only heard from him once and that is after leaving multiple messages with his office. I am now trying to contact him for advice but he is not responding. I know my first phone call pushed him to attain all the medical records and he let all the companies involved know that I am not to communicate with them and I would have to communicate through him. But how the hell can I do that if he does not return any of my phone calls. I want to change attorneys and I want to do it fast since I am relocating anyway. I wanted his legal advice and guidance but I can't even get a hold of this guy. Does anyone out there know what I can do. I am moving to the Bay area so if there are any workers comp lawyers out there interested please respond with helpful info. Thanks

Re: When is it too late to change attorneys

If the application is filed in Southern California all your witnesses and employers' witnesses will probably be in southern California area. So you may have a "Venue" problem. Feel free to call me at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation. I am willing to give you an overview of what will take place in your case. If you decide to retain my office to represent you, I will assure you that I always return phone calls in a timely manner and I will be upfront with you about your strengths or weaknesses of your case.
