If the insurance carrier has a Multiple Physician Network, for non-emergency situations the MPN suppose to provide an appointment within three days pursuant to CCR 9767(f). For non-emergency specialist services the MPN is suppose to provide treatment within 20 days. If you cannot get an appointment within the regulations you are entitled to seek treatment outside the MPN. However, non-MPN physicians are usually reluctant to treat because there is alway a hassle getting paid.
