Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Lower back pain

i have worked at the same job for over 6 years. sitting is a requirement..i now have severe sciatica..it has not been medically diagnosed but i have done research online and im sure this is what it is..i asked my boss if i could see a company doctor..he looked dumbfounded..he suggested i use an inversion machine. knowing i dont own one he suggested i either go to his distant home to use his or go to a dept store and use the floor model. i have no insurance and cannot afford regular visits to a chiropractor..im stuck between a rock and a hard place. the pain is unbearable at times but i cannot afford to miss more work than i already have due to the pain.
