No, you must be treated as though you are still at work. Your employer can ask you to try to arrange the appointment so that you miss the least amount of time from work, but it would be discrimination against an industrial injury to dock you any time or pay or benefits for going to valid medical treatments. Most employers do not know this however so their doing so is not from an evil intent as opposed to lack of knowledge.
