This is a very simple matter. If you have an attorney, he/she can simply file a Subpeona Duces Tecum and obtain the records by Subpeona. If you do not have an attorney, you can go to the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board in Oakland and ask for the Information Officer for assistence in obtaining the records. The Information Officers are very knowledgeable and very helpful. They can help and if they believe that your case is a little complicated, they will recommend that you obtain an attorney.

There is an organization called California Applicants Attorneys Assoc. of which I am a member. It is a statewide organization with very competent attorneys who practice emphasizes workers' compensation. If you get an attorney, make sure they are members of this organization.
