Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

How do I get medical treatment

I fell in the parking lot and brok my foot 12/04. I had an MRI kast year and the worker comp dr is requesting a 2nd mri and possibly sugery. I just received 2 letters on the same day stating (1) that they closed my case due to inactive treatment and (2) they have received information that I have returned for possible further treatment. If further diagnostics or treatment is needed, yu will need to submit a request for new and further treatment.

They write ''at this time we would like to offer you a compromise and release of your future medicals for 3 k. If I am intersted please contact them.

Re: How do I get medical treatment

It looks as though the employer's insurance company is simply trying to make you go away with an offer that sounds low based upon the information you provided. However, your Lawguru question seems to be more of a fact pattern rather than an actual question. As such, I invite you to contact my office for a free consultation.

The offer to settle seems very low. You have the right to continue treatment if you need and request for a qualified medical Examiner (QME) for an opinion about future medical treatment and extent of your permanent disability. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
