Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
I am paid hourly. If I commute to work and the office is closed due to unforeseen circumstances without warning (In my case, a political protest), am I entitled to bill for part or the entire day?

If your employment contract provides for pay in such circumstances, then yes.
Otherwise, check with the Labor Board (I do not believe an employer is liable for pay when it impossible for the employer to permit the employee to work, but ask them): http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/dlseWagesAndHours.html
