In California, is there a penalty is the workmans compensations check is late and what is considered late? Is ther any exemption to the first payment?

Review Labor Code Section 5814. I find it best to write the insurance carrier requesting a 10% increase under labor code section 4650. If the carrier does not pay the 10% increase, then you can file a penalty.
