If perm. and station, the wc doc. releases you to modified work, and the employer doe's not have modified work for you, do you still recieve a wc check?

Those are two different concepts. A release to modified work occurs while you are still temporarily disabled; if your employer has "light work" available then ;you are paid your fully salary but not TTD. Once you have reached a level of maximum improvement, then TTD stops and whether or not you are working you should get permanent disability advances.
You are still entitled to receive a settlement and it will start as a biweekly check until your case gets settled. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
NOPE. NO MORE TEMPORARY DISABILITY checks after you are Permanent & Stationary.
APPLY FOR UNEMPLOYMENT through the EDD. When you are just partially permanently disabled and the employer won't let you work there any more, YOU ARE NOW UNEMPLOYED AND ELIGIBLE FOR UNEMPLOYMENT INSURANCE.
Don't put you are 'disabled' on the Unemployment application. That means you are 100% disabled. You're NOT 100% disabled. just 5 or 10%, you can work (so says a licensed M.D.).
LOOK FOR WORK and SAVE PROOF OF YOU SEARCH FOR WORK. it might be really helpful later to show a judge you are looking for work with you new limitations.
You MIGHT get $230/week 'Permanent Partial Disability Indemnity' from that Comp Insurer. That is to supplement a paycheck, not live on. $230/week presumes you are working or looking for work.
