Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

permanent and stationary

After the workmans comp doctor declared that I was permanent and stationary, the insurance sent me a check for $6000 and and every 2 weeks for $460 each check. It says that it could be taken out of my award. What does it mean?

Re: permanent and stationary

If you have serious injury, then $6,000,00 that the insurance company is offering you is tip of iceberg and they are not what you are actually you are entitled to. Fax me the Permanent and stationary report and call me at 213.388.7070 to see if their settlement offer is fair.

You are actually receiving the Award. The language is placed on the notice in the event that the carrier has made a mistake in providing permanent disability advances. My recommendation is to cash the checks.
