Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
Personal injury/ injured worker
I suffered a broken finger while working for my employer, at a job which he sent me to. Approx 1 month later I injured my back working for the same employer, with my injured hand. After this, my employer let me go, and denied any medical treatment, and withheld medical insurance info from me. Now, 1 1/2 yrs later, I was just denied workers comp, because my employer denied me working for him. He had treated me bad all through my employment with him, racial slurs were common and he also had told me if I was to ever be injured on his jobsite, that he would deny it... which he did. I want to appeal this decision made by the state compensation insurace fund, as I believe it is wrong. I am not seeking a reward, I just want my health back (finger and back fixed). What can I do in this instace, and what kind of lawyer can I get for assistance?
