Legal Question in Workers Comp in California
personal interviews at your home after filing workman's comp
After filing workman's compensation a few weeks ago I was contacted by a woman who works for the employer insurance company she said she was a registered nurse and requested an interview at my home to collect facts about medical injuries. Then this registered nurse has requested to be present with me and my primary care physician to discuss my medical history and injuries after final testing is completed concerning my injuries. She explained that she was making sense of the reported injuries so she can explain it to the claims adjuster that is why she is requesting an interview with me and my doctor. All the medical files were release for them to see and yet they want to talk to my doctor and me together. My question is can my employer do this?

As long as you remain unrepresented by a lawyer, your employer can do almost anything, at the expense of your health, safety and welfare.
