Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I am presently being diagnosed with PTSD(Post Traumatic Disorder) through the Veterans Adminstration. They will rate me at 100 unemployability and I will receive a monthly benefit from them for compensation.

What I am now wondering is how do I file for workers compensation with the state of California and am I also eligible for Social Security benefits. I am 39 years old, engineer, ex-submariner, hi-tech worker with 15 years of high income contributed to Social Security and workers comp. I suffered a nervous breakdown last year and am just being diagnosed with PTSD and depression.

thank you
