Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Received poor care for broken ankle

Last September I twisted my ankle at work and heard a lous pop. The next day the workers comp doctor took x rays which clearly showed the very tip of the ankle bone broke off. He insisted it was an old injury, which I have never had, gave me nothing for pain, a tiny ankle brace and no work restrictions. On my next visit there was a different doc on call and he asked where my crutches were and why was I walking on my foot. He then informed me my ankle was broke. He gave me a black velcro boot that went up to my knee and I wore it for about a month. After some p.t. the original doc discharged me with ''Patient discharged as cured without retable disability''. He took no final xrays to show if my ankle was even ''cured''.

Now, I have a lot of aching and discomfort in my ankle on a daily basis, any suggestion on what I can do at this point. I have worked 42 years and this is my first injury on the job and have no clue as to my rights.......Thanks
