Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

i was receiving workman comp. app. 5 years. They stoped payments said i was over paid and would subtract out of final settelment can they do that?

YES, the Insurer need only pay Temporary Disability for 104 weeks -- Two Years -- on post 2004 claims, 240 weeks (5 years) on 2003 (and earlier) claims.

Money voluntarily paid by an insurer is typically 'credited' towards Permanent Disability money the insurer owes for the future.

Consider this a good thing...you got an interest-free loan on your permanent disability money when you needed it the most.
