Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

I recently submittted a workers comp claim for my wife, who suffered from heart failure as a result from a viral infection, to which she had to have a heart transplant. We suffered catastrofic finantial ruin, and we are currently living on my wife's state disability, just to keep her insurance alive, and for her regiment of meds. What is the case history on this type of incident? My wife is a chemist, and I'm pretty convinced she contracted something there.

These cases are complex as far as causation. However, the burden of proof is not too high, as long as your wife's condition was caused or worsen by the chemicals that were present at work. Many factors such as length of employement, prior medical conditions are certainly a major factor. Feel free to call us at 213.388.7070 for a free consultation.
