Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Reconsideration of Findings & Award

I was represented by an attorney and Findings & Award was awarded in 1997 for injury prior to 1993. Attorney was dismissed after receiving award. Employer just required me to be re-examined by QME. QME states that PD was not paid or computed correctly based on the limitations he discussed in original comprehensive evaluation. Do I have any any rights to file for a Petition for Reconsideration?

Re: Reconsideration of Findings & Award

The injury is too old for a reconsideration and a change of disability based upon the original injury lacks credibility. I would recommend a petition for NEW AND FURTHER DISABILITY. You would be well served by obtaining representation. This is a matter for which an experienced hand in legal strategy in needed. Don't try to go through this by yourself, get the results that you deserve. Please call me directly at (619)222-3504
