Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

i'm currently represented by a law firm that is neglecting all of their duties. no one ever calls, i'm paying for all appointments, etc. And i have been continuously harrassed by their staff when i call them. what can i do to make sure they do not continue this behavior toward their clients, AND make sure i can get my case taken care of without starting over again?

Due to the relatively low attorney fees per case as to WC matters, many firms specializing in WC function a bit like a mill. The attorney feel they can not spend much time with the client and dump the contact off on the staff, who may feel they are too over worked and are annoyed that clients often can not remember what benefits they are entitled to. I have not heard of an Office making the client pay for the medical appointments.

I assume that you have tried several times to get the service you want. So there is no reason to anticipate that the level of service will change. You cna write a letter demanding a change within the next 5 business days, but you should prepare to interview other attorneys to find someone to your greater liking.
