Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Returning from an Injury

I should be returning from my injury in about 3 weeks. I was just wondering since I have been gone for about a year and I worked mornings at my job, will they still legally have to give me back that same position? I live in California, and all through the process that's what I've been told, but the last time I went to work they were talking like I was gonna have to work some other shift. I just want to be prepared in case they try to tell me otherwise. Thanks.
