Legal Question in Workers Comp in California

Selling Medical Award

Basically what happens when you sign a C and R and take X amount of dollars for your medical. It is possible at all to have your own personal heath plan cover treatment if needed.. Is the injury/disability no longer pre existing after so many years. What are the rules on this if any rules at all are written. I have had an open medical for five years and never used it. May want to cash it out.Depending on applicable laws If any.
